Well good Friday to all of you! We are so veerrrryyy please to announce that our precious gift has arrived. She was a healthy 6lbs 8oz and 19 in long. She has light brown hair, olive skin and blue eyes. She has mommy's nose, lips, earlobes and dimples, w/ daddy's adorable cheeks, eyes, hair and feet! lol

Emery Faith was born Monday, February 9th, 2009 at 7:18pm @ Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital in Vancouver.... after Amber was admitted Saturday, Feb 7th due to low amniotic fluid. We started a pitocin induction Saturday afternoon around 3:15, which was shut down sometime after midnight due to lack of response. Pitocin was started again Sunday morning at 6:15 and again discontinued sometime around 9:30pm that evening for the same reason. Docs then tried another induction drug called Cervidel in hopes of some dilation, w/ very little response and later tried Measo. tablets w/ the same effect, paired again w/ pitocin. After a very long and painful 3 days, the doctor gave us the choice to end the merry-go-round w/ a C Section, or try for a few more hours, w/ no guarantee of any progression. We were exhausted by then and ready to meet out daughter. C section it was.

After being prepped both physically and mentally, the doctors began their magic and w/in the hour, we were proud new parents, w/ the prettiest little girl we'd ever seen. We can only imagine what was going through her little head.

I can definitely say that I wouldn't recommend or suggest an induction or a C Section as my method of delivery, to ANYONE.. The recovery has been a little more painful than I'd originally anticipated, but looking into Emery's eyes makes every pain and stich worth that and more!!!

Christopher is the very best daddy I could ever ask for, for our daughter. He is completely in love, which makes me that much more in love w/ him. The way he looks at her, absolutely melts my heart. I truly feel like the most blessed woman on earth, and I can't wait to share our miracle family w/ all of you!!!

Happy Friday everyone. Love the Crouch;s*
